Blackjack:

Blackjack is one of the most popular casino games. The object of the game is to draw cards with a total closer to 21 than the Dealer's total - without going over 21. Cards are dealt clockwise from a dealing service called a card shoe. You are dealt two cards, while the dealer takes one card. The cards are dealt face up so you can see your point value.

How to bet

Players play Blackjack individually against the dealer usually with 6 packs of cards. The object of the game is for the players cards total to beat the dealer's total without going over 21. It's similar to Pontoon but no five card tricks and special rules to buy a card or increase your bet.

Card Values
Aces count 1 or 11, picture cards count 10, all other cards count their face value.

First Bet (Ante Bet)
Bets are placed by players in the centre of the square box usually corresponding to their table position.

First Deal
All players get two cards face up and the dealer gets one card face up. 'Blackjack' is a special combination of cards and is ONLY achieved if the first two cards dealt score 21 this being an Ace with any 10 value card.

Additional Cards
Players will be offered in turn to take as many additional cards as they wish until they think they have a score closer to 21 than the dealer will achieve. The following special options are available to the player ONLY after the first two cards have been dealt:-

'Splitting' your hand into two different hands is possible if your first two cards are the same except for pairs of 4, 5, or 10's. To indicate you want to 'split' place your two cards apart on the table and make an additional bet equal to your original one. The dealer will place an additional card on each card creating two hands that you can then play. You are permitted to split more than once if you wish. When Aces are split the player may only take one more card and if the score of 21 is achieved this does NOT count as 'Blackjack'.

'Double Down' is allowed if the players first two cards total 9, 10 or 11 the player may double their bet but they will ONLY draw one further card. 'Insurance' can be taken if you have blackjack and the dealers up card shows a ten value or an ace. To do this you must bet half your original bet. If the dealer has Blackjack you will win your insurance bet at the rate 2:1 and you stand off on your Blackjack hand. If the dealer does not have blackjack you lose the insurance bet but get paid 3:2 for Blackjack.

Show Down
After all the players have finished the dealer will reveal his hidden card and MUST draw more cards whilst his score is 16 or under and MUST stop taking cards as soon as it is 17 or over.

Payouts
Any player card total above 21 lose their bet. If the dealer card total is above 21 then all players with 21 or under win and paid even money (players win the same amount as they bet). If the player card total is closer to 21 than the dealer then the player wins and paid even money. Any 'Blackjack' winning hands are paid 3:2 (player wins the amount bet plus an extra half).

If the players total is lower than the dealers hand the player loses his bet. If the player and dealer tie it is a 'stand off' you neither win nor lose, including Blackjack. These rules have been set according to the prevailing British gaming rules for Blackjack. Whilst it is similar to Pontoon or twenty one it is BLACKJACK so 5 card tricks, burning, three seven's and so on have no significance in Blackjack but seeing as ours is a fun environment we can adopt any such conditions if YOU prefer.

Roulette:

Roulette is one of the oldest and most famous casino games. Each player is given chips of a unique colour and design so they can distinguish their bets from those of other players. To play the game, the Dealer spins the wheel in one direction and a small white ball in the other. The object of the game is to correctly guess which segment the ball will finally rest in.

How to Bet at a Roulette Table

Players must guess what number the ball will land on from a selection of 0 and 1 to 36 and place bets from a various selection explained below.

Single Number
A chip can be placed directly in the centre of a box with a specific number. If that number comes up on the next spin of the wheel you win back 35 times your bet. e.g. You bet 100 on 22 and 22 wins. You keep your 100 and win 3500.

Two Numbers
A chip can be placed in the middle of a line directly between two numbered boxes. If either number comes up on the next spin of the wheel you win back 17 times your bet. e.g. You bet 100 on 13 and 14 and either wins. You keep your 100 and win 1700.

Row (Three Numbers)
A chip can be placed in the middle of a line at the edge of the layout. This cover the three numbers on that row say 1,2 and 3 for example or 34, 35 and 36. Again if any of the numbers covered by the bet comes up on the next spin of the wheel you win back 11 times your bet. e.g. You bet 100 on 1,2 and 3 and one of them wins. You keep your 100 and win 1100.

Four Numbers
A chip can be placed on a point where 2 lines cross. This covers the four numbers on that the chip touches say between 25,26,28 and 29. If any of the numbers covered by the bet comes up on the next spin of the wheel you win back 8 times your bet.

Six Numbers
A chip can be placed on a point where 2 lines cross at the edge of the layout. This covers the six numbers on those two rows say between 31,32,33 and 34,35 and 36. If any of the numbers covered by the bet comes up on the next spin of the wheel you win back 5 times your bet.

Dozens
A chip can be placed in a box dedicated to the 1st, 2nd or 3rd Dozen that covers each set of 12 numbers 1-12, 13-24, 25-36. If any of the numbers covered by the bet comes up on the next spin of the wheel you win back 2 times your bet

Columns
A chip can be placed in a box dedicated to the 1st, 2nd or 3rd Column that covers each set of 12 numbers shown vertically on the layout for instance 1,4,7,10,13,16,19,22,25,28,31,34. If any of the numbers covered by the bet comes up on the next spin of the wheel you win back 2 times your bet.

Red or Black
A chip can be placed in a box dedicated to either RED or BLACK. Every number of the wheel has a colour and if the number on the next spin corresponds with the colour you picked you'll win same amount as you bet. If result is GREEN when '0' occurs you lose half your bet.

High or Low
A chip can be placed in a box dedicated to either LOW or HIGH. If you bet LOW and the winning number is between 1 and 18 or you bet HIGH and the winning number is between 19 and 36 you'll win same amount as you bet. If result is GREEN when '0' occurs you lose half your bet.

Odd or Even
A chip can be placed in a box dedicated to either ODD or EVEN. If the number on the next winning spin corresponds with your odd or even bet then you'll win same amount as you bet. If result is GREEN when '0' occurs you lose half your bet. Good Luck - you'll certainly need it with this game!

Stud Poker:

Stud Poker is a new game to Australian casinos, with the added bonus of a jackpot. The game is based on Five-card Stud Poker, where you play individually against the House. For an initial stake or Ante, Players receive five cards face down, while the Dealer receives four cards face down and one card face up.

You have two options. If you do not think you can beat the Dealer's hand you may fold and forfeit you Ante. if you think you can beat the Dealer's hand and elect to continue, you are required to have an additional bet, which must be twice the Ante. The best Poker hand between the Player and the Dealer wins.

How to bet at a poker table

Quick to play with only one easy decision dependent on the luck of your cards. If you believe they better ranked than the dealers then risk more and increase your bet or fold and lose your ante bet?

Card Values
Aces are high but can also be low for a straight. See table for hand ranks.

First Bet
Ante Bets are placed by players in the ante box usually in front of the players seating position.

Dealing
The dealer shuffles one pack of 52 cards and issues each player 5 cards face down. The dealer also gets 5 cards but the last one is dealt face up.

Fold or Raise
Players look at their cards and must decide whether they should continue:-

To 'Raise' the player must place exactly twice their original bet on the raise box and should be done if the player believes they have a better hand than the dealers.

To 'Fold' the player places his cards face down on the raise box and should be done if the player does not believe they have a better hand than the dealers. The first ante bet is then lost.

Show down
Once all players bets have made their decision the dealer turns over his other four cards and will arrange them to indicate the best dealer hand.

Payouts
If the dealers hand does not have at least an Ace and King then the dealers hand is deemed to have folded and all players who made a raise bet are paid even money (the same amount at you bet) on their Ante bet ONLY.

If the dealers hand contains Ace King or higher it is deemed to have played and the dealers hand is compared with each players. If the dealers hand is better than the players then both bets are lost. If the players hand is better than the dealers then the ante bet is paid evens and the raise is paid according to the following rates:-
